Below are three example days which we have put together for clients . Each day is specific to each client, and the variations for each day are virtually endless.
This event involved a field of 60 players, all invited personally by the owner of the business, with the key aim of the day being a "thank you" to their customers .
The players were organised into random teams to enable people to make new contacts, with a combination of individual and team competitions throughout the day .
A shotgun start enabled all of the guests to chat over a bacon sandwich and coffee on arrival, and perhaps more importantly ensured all the players finished at the same time. This then allowed for them all to eat together, enjoying the free bar paid for by the client, with the atmosphere at the dinner being very positive and lively.
South West Golf Days in conjunction with the client, chose the venue, planned the format and timings, sourced the goodie bags, manned the registration desk, and ran the prize-giving, allowing the client and their staff all day to spend with their valued customers.
This event was held at a high end venue, for a client who wished to bring together its key staff, customers, suppliers and prospects.
The guests were welcomed on arrival by the club staff,who took their bags, and organised them on buggies in tee order. On reception the guests were welcomed by our staff, who explained the rules, and provided each guest with an umbrella,branded with the company logo. This was a great idea, as the umbrellas were of the highest quality, ensuring they would last well,and basically our client's brand was guaranteed at least several year's exposure on 40+ umbrellas !
Each fourball was organised into a member of staff, supplier, customer and prospect, playing as a team against the other groups .
After the golf, there was a formal dinner including wine, followed by a prize-giving ceremony, where the top three team prizes were expensive high end desireable items.
The client had calculated the value of each supplier, client and prospect, and quickly had come to realise that one piece of additional business from any of the guests, would easily pay for the whole day, hence their desire to really wow their guests.
Many clients wish to use their golf days as a way to simply raise some funds for their chosen charity, whilst having some fun with friends and business contacts .
On this day, the guests were entertained with a trick shot show by a former world champion, whose wit and ball skills were simply amazing.
A Texas Scramble team event over 18 holes ensured a friendly format could be enjoyed by all standards of golfers .The golf was followed by a rolling carvery, and prizegiving. Throughout the day guests were invited to buy raffle tickets, try to beat the pro on one of the par 3 holes, and generally support the chosen local charity .
The costs of the day were covered by the client, and then the team entry fees, raffle and other events raised over £2,000 for the charity, which being a small local organisation was totally overwhelmed by what they could do with such a sum .
All in all everyone was very proud for being associated with a fun and entertaining day, which had a great cause at the very heart of it.
